we extend a warm welcome to Ecuador, and we couldn’t be more excited to have you here! Your journey begins with a sense of relaxation and anticipation as you embark on a 15-minute drive toward the Puembo neighborhood in the surrounding area of Quito Airport.
As you depart from the airport, you might initially traverse through the airport cargo area, and the landscape gradually transforms. You might encounter stretches of the Andean highlands characterized by rolling hills, lush valleys, and farmlands. The road to Puembo might wind through charming rural roads, offering glimpses of local life and traditional adobe houses adorned with colorful decorations. The vegetation changes as you approach Puembo, featuring a mix of lush greenery, including various flowering plants.
Depending on the route taken, time of the day, and weather, you might catch breathtaking glimpses of snow-capped peaks such as Cotopaxi or Cayambe in the distance, especially on a clear day. These stunning volcanoes are part of Ecuador’s impressive volcanic landscape, adding a dramatic touch to the scenery.

A guide will pick you up for city tour in Quito. Start in the colonial center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to numerous historic buildings and squares. You will visit Plaza Grande and the beautiful churches of La Compañía and La Basílica. Then, you’ll walk down La Ronda, the oldest street in Quito. Around midday, head to a traditional cooking class. There, you’ll learn about the incredible gastronomy of this country and how to prepare it, and you will enjoy a delicious lunch.
Afterward, make your way to the Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World) monument to stand on the line of the equator. Strike a pose with one foot in each hemisphere and see how your balance is affected at latitude zero. Then, enjoy the nearby museums and exhibits, including the Planetarium, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Artisanal Beer Museum. There is also a small-scale model of Quito here, giving you a unique perspective on the city.

In the morning you will hike around the crater lagoon of Cuicocha. On the trail your guide will explain to you the high-altitude flora and fauna and the history of the once active volcano. Alternatively, you can ride in a boat around the two islands.
Then you will visit Cotacachi, a lovely town know for the leather and nice stores, you may have lunch there.
In the afternoon visit the Otavalo Market. Otavalo features one of the most important traditional markets of South America. Here, the indigenous people of the surrounding areas gather to trade anything from animals over handicraft to fresh vegetables and fruits. Take a stroll through the streets and maybe try some of the local street food such as salted mango or fritada con mote, fried pork with cooked corn.

Today you will go ahead to Papallacta into the Andean Valley (3300 mm over the sea level) you can relax and enjoy its pools, naturally heated by the volcanic hot springs. Also, if the weather is clear, you will be able to see the giant Antisana Volcano (reaching a height of 5,758 meters) looming above.
In the Afternoon you will return to Quito.

This morning, you will have the opportunity to experience the joy, adrenaline, and nostalgia that our Chagras (Ecuadorian cowboys) live day by day while they are working in the high mountains of the Andes.
You’ll be met with sweeping views of the páramo (typical Andean landscape) and the snowcapped peak of Cotopaxi. Cotopaxi National Park is the best place to explore the nature of the Andes and surrounding volcanos. After climbing 1000 meters, we will arrive in a different realm, passing the lagoon and mesmerizing as the sun shines on the Cotopaxi tip. Keep your eyes peeled for wild horses, rabbits, birds, and deer along the way! Saddle up for a trek of a lifetime, diving into the true heart of adventure.
Gallop across windswept plains and explore the area’s native forests before heading to a beautiful hacienda to spend the night.

Today’s drive takes you into the western Ecuadorian Andes, where you’ll visit the picturesque Quilotoa Lagoon. This spectacular crater lake was formed centuries ago by a massive volcanic eruption. Walk along the crater’s rim to enjoy splendid views, or hike down a path to the edge of the turquoise waters, where you can enjoy kayaking in the lagoon.
If you’re looking for a less adventurous trek, mules are available to rent for the return uphill hike. Afterward, get back on the road and continue to Baños, where you’ll get settled into your accommodation for the night.

This morning, ride along the scenic Ruta de Cascadas (Waterfall Route) toward the village of Rio Verde. Along the way, you’ll see the route’s namesake water features. When you arrive in town, take a short hike to one of the better-known waterfalls in the area, El Pailón del Diablo (the Devil’s Cauldron). Here, the water cascades 265 feet (81 m) down through the cloud forest.
Later we head back to Quito. In route, we keep our eyes open for the natural beauty of the Andes as we might have an opportunity to see any number of gorgeous volcanoes, including Chimborazo, Carihuairazo, the Ilinizas Sur y Norte, Cotopaxi, Corazón, Rumiñahui, Pasochoa, and maybe even Antisana and more. Being in the middle of this spectacular land of volcanoes really allows your mind, body, and spirit to come into a harmony most of us don’t experience as often as we’d like.
This evening is a good time to explore some in Quito if you’d like. So many choices: Dinner at a restaurant with a view – of the Centro histórico or just the city in general.

Welcome to Cuenca! You to get to know the beautiful city today, especially its UNESCO-recognized historic center. The tour starts in the San Sebastián neighborhood on the western edge of the city center. You’ll visit the Museo Municipal de Arte Moderno (Modern Art Museum) and its colorful gardens. Then it’s time to visit Cuenca’s famous cathedrals: the Iglesia El Sagrario, also known as the “Old Cathedral,” and the Catedral Metropolitana de la Inmaculada Concepción, aka the “New Cathedral.” While the old cathedral is now a museum, the new one, with its famous blue and white domes, is an operating Catholic church.
Later, visit Museo del Sombrero de Paja Toquilla, the Panama hat museum. Yes, those famous hats are made here in Ecuador from toquilla straw. Learn how weavers create these hats and the techniques that can turn one of these everyday hats into an expensive accessory.

You will leave Cuenca and head westwards to the Cajas National Park. This National Park comprises more than 200 interconnected high-altitude lagoons. The Cajas is not only source of many rivers, but even connects to the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean. Then your private transportation will leave you at your accommodation
